Nanzen -Ji Zen Buddhist Temple/Koun-JI..Philosopher's walk/ Vegetarian Restaurant eat like the monks do

Kounji Temple was originally established in Osaka in 1280 then transferred to Nanzenji, Kyoto in 1664. Kounji Temple features a beautiful Chisan Kaiyu-shiki garden (garden that features a path around a pond). We went on the philosopher's walk and then wen to  a Zen Buddhist Temple and did  tow sets of meditations: one for 15 minutes and one for 20 minutes... peace is found in silence.. The meditations were wonderful.. The philosopher's walk was about a mile or so... it was peaceful and serene. Later on we went to the Golden Pavilion and seen the golden Temple. We also went to Kyoto Handicraft Center. The Buddhist temple and the Philosopher's Walk was one of my Favorite things to do while in Japan.
